In a view to measuring characteristics in quantity of water usage used by middle class households in Seoul, ten households, 3 apartment its and 7 individual residences, were investigated of their consumption amounts at intervals. of two hours between May 1 and May 31, 1980.
The results of study were Summarized as follow;
1. The amount of household water usage was 115e per capita per day on the ´average; individual residence 7be apartment 1971 That average use equals to 70 percent of the rural household water usage in the United States.
2. Per capita per day household water average usage amount of this study in Seoul is equal to 20?´.´ in total water supply 1979.
3. The peak water usage hours are 10-1i `AM., that amounts to 18. 1 percent about.
4. Water usage in individual residence with traditional Style toilet is equal to kitchen-10,96, laundry 20%, men´s washing-555%, .drinking-10,96,
5. The peak water usage was found to be on Saturday, which amounted to 176e per capita per day. Sunday had the lowest use with 82,6 per capita per day.
The difference between this study and SiegriSt´s Study in using, Saturday water amount is originated from life custom.
